postapocalyptica: Logan’s Run (1976) Crystals embedded in their palms gradually turn red over time, alerting citizens of a postapocalyptic society that they must attend “Carousel,” where they will be “reborn.”  Riiiight.  Thirty is the maximum acceptable age in this world, and legends of a sanctuary exists for those wishing to escape Carousel. The movie tells the story of a Sandman (one charged with stopping people from escaping, or “runners” ) who attempts escape.  It stars Michael York, features a cameo by Farrah Fawcett, and has a pretty bad-ass robot scene.  One of my favorite flicks.  Check it out!
